Last modified

CVE-2026-107631 is a high-severity vulnerability rated 7.2/10 on the CVSS scale. The Record of Consent Extension for Complianz plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'uid' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. EPSS estimates a 0.32% chance of exploitation in the next 30 days.

Description

The Record of Consent Extension for Complianz plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'uid' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 2.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This is possible because the enforcing nonce is emitted via wp_localize_script on wp_enqueue_scripts and is therefore readable by any unauthenticated frontend visitor, and no capability or role check gates the write path.
