This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with a role that an administrator grants access to (e.g., Subscriber) to to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, which can contain sensitive information, or delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php)..
