CVE-2026-0867
Last modified
CVE-2026-0867 is a medium-severity vulnerability rated 6.4/10 on the CVSS scale. The Essential Widgets plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's ew-author, ew-archive, ew-category, ew-page, and ew-menu shortcodes in all versions up to, and including, 3.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. EPSS estimates a 0.28% chance of exploitation in the next 30 days.
